campaign would appeal to people who use smart phones and enjoy keeping up to
date with the latest technology.

Public relations:
Feature of the phone during the Oscar, before the phone was released. The phone captures the world’s most viral selfies taken by Ellen DeGeneres.

Oscars, by now you’ve probably seen Ellen DeGeneres’ Twitter-crashing,
record-breaking Oscars selfie, taken with Samsung’s new Galaxy S5 smartphone.It
seemed like every time Ellen was on stage during the awards ceremony, she was
wielding the massive Galaxy S5, taking selfies and live-tweeting while hosting

better. In their latest ad campaign, Samsung advertised their newest
phone model through the Oscars almost seamlessly.
Direct marketing :
For direct marketing Samsung came up with a campaign to promote
their new product. Their main target audience was age 15-50 and email their new
product's postcard.

Electronics Corporation holds various promotional events to hold loyal
customers. One of the promotional events for their galaxy S5 is called
"Samsung Sense Academic Festival". This event helped them to sell
their new product galaxy s5 one to one basis

opinion:
Using ''Cognitive Learning Theory'' for Promotion ; Since a Samsung
Galaxy s5 is a bit expensive, so they have also used the ''Cognitive Learning
Theory'' through which the customer can justify the product by its special features and will buy these
products.
As we all know market is now the most competitive venue.all the companies are fighting for each survival,for its betterment. Apple is Samsung's biggest rival here.To match the competitors and survive or capture enormous market Samsung do all their Integrated Marketing Communication.First thing is their TV commercials, they recently do over power saving system is creating competitive advantage from my opinion then sales promotion they offer bonus pack,then ice bucket challenge over Facebook or you-tube is become a new trend to take attention of new generation.Oscar selfie was the biggest thing to know people about the product.As Samsung is a huge company so pay less amount attention on personal selling or direct marketing but i think they should pay attention in every sector equally because all customers contact point are not same.
